I've been trying really hard to spruce up my outdoor spaces this summer. I'm being super cheap about it too--just trying to use what I have to make it work.
These little birdhouses were in my stash, a couple from the dollar section at one of the local craft places I frequent. I painted one of them with lovely vibrant primary colors.
I went in a different direction with this one. Why not paint it white and have a blank canvas to doodle on? Why not, indeed. I drew flowers and a caterpillar, a hash tag and butterfly. It was fun to do, and I can't recall ever seeing a birdhouse like this before.
When it was dry, I sealed it with an acrylic sealer to protect it from the elements. I love how it looks outside, and I didn't have to buy anything to make it. Go me!
