Happy 2012! {Front Door Decor}

Hello!  Happy Happy New Year to you and yours!  I hope this post finds you enjoying your holiday, and eagerly anticipating the possibilities for 2012.

Our holiday was wonderful.  It was fun spending time with family and friends...and isn't that what it should be about?

With all of my Christmas decorations back in their safe storage until next Thanksgiving weekend, I thought I'd try my hand at a new banner for my front door.

Not your typical wreath huh?  Here's how I did it...

I cut some tags from white card stock with the help of Rocco (my Silhouette), who by the way (finally) received some new cutting mats! Happy Rocco=happy Mommo!

I dry brushed the tags with Martha Stewart's metallic paint in Sterling.

My letters and numbers were cut from black vinyl and applied once the paint dried.

This beautiful clock face is from The Graphics Fairy.  I dry brushed the sterling paint onto paper and printed the image on top of it.  I drew the hands striking midnight, and strung all of the tags together.

Thanks so much for a great 2011.  I hope that your 2012 is full of meaningful and happy moments.

Much love,
