Halloween Wreath from Menswear Fabric

Now that I figured out how to make a wreath, I thought I'd make one for Halloween.  I love the scrap fabric wreaths that are cropping up all over the Internet.  There are so many ways to adapt them.  This is my version...

This is how well my husband knows me. He found some pinstripe fabric at our local Recycle Shop for one dollar and brought it home for me.  He just knew I could do something with it.  What a dude!

I started out with a wreath form from DIY Bangles.

All I had to do, was cut strips of the fabric with my pinking shears and tie it onto the form.

I used small wooden tags that I had on hand.  I painted them with some colors from Martha Stewart.  For the "BOO!" I used her new Typewriter Stencil Set.  I finished them off with some washi tape.  The "M" is a chipboard letter painted in the same fashion.

I didn't know how I'd feel about the dark fabric on my black door, but I'm super happy with how it looks.  I love that the fabric is blue, and the orange details really pop!

I have a material connection because I received a gift or sample of a product for consideration in preparing to write this content. I was/am not expected to return this item or gift after my review period.
