Dictionary Page Decoupage {Candle Holder}

Dictionaries are fantastic.  And have many pages.  After I made my wreath for my front door, I still had plenty of lovely stuff to work with.

I decided decoupage was in order.

Friends, I'm going to keep it real here.  This was one of projects that took a long time. The tearing of the pages, the Podging, the tearing of the pages. Did I mention the tearing of the pages? Sheesh!

This was my "canvas."  I love the shape, but I thought it needed....something.

The tools of the trade. Torn pages, Mod Podge, candle holder, and a brush.  And very good music to keep me motivated.

And just in case you were wondering...the answer is yes.  All of the words are the right side up.  Because that's how I roll.

  1. Tres Pottery Barn! I saw some candles there last week done w/ dictionary pages. This reminds me of them and for a much better price I'm sure!

  2. Very cute and I can't believe you actually made sure all of the words were upright -- too funny! Love this!
