The key to my sanity {Key Pendant}

Do you ever get asked  "Where do you find the time to do all this...stuff?"
Fact is...I don't have a good answer.  It's just something I do.  It's something I have to do.  Ideas come to me out of nowhere, and from everywhere. I have to do something about them!

If you have reading along with me at all, you know I love making little pendants from Stampbord.  I use scrapbook paper and washi tape, stamps and ink, etc.  This next one I made is one of my new favorites.

There is nothing like an antique key.  The Graphics Fairy only posted this yesterday, and I knew I had to make it "wearable."  Karen is so wonderful, she even made a silhouette example for her readers. Thank you Karen!

I used silver leaf Rub 'n Buff to cover my Stampbord--front and back.

Then, I downloaded the key to my Silhouette and cut it out of .....black vinyl!  These little rectangles measure one inch by two inches, so it was really tiny.

After I transferred the key to the Stampbord, I rubbed a little StazOn black ink on with a paper towel.  This is the picture I took before adding Dimensional Magic and then a bail to the back.

I am digging all of the detail in this key, and the silver in the pendant.  What do you think?

  2. What a beautiful necklace, Christine! I wish that I could find the key to my sanity, haha! And I know just what you mean about needing to create! I thought about you the other day when I was shopping at Michael's. I spotted an entire section of supplies that I wasn't familiar with, and that I knew nothing about. I thought to myself "Christine would know just what to do with this stuff!", as you always are up on all of the latest goodies!!!
