Bath Soap Storage Jar

Summer break has set in.  It's that time between school ending and summer programs starting.  It's been fantastic not running for a bus, and enjoying that extra cup or two of coffee.

I saw another project that used a wide mouth jar similar to this one.  Washcloths were stored inside of it, and I thought I could use mine for another bath item.

Of course, I totally forgot where I saw that great idea, and for that I apologize!  I love sharing where I got a creative nudge.  If you happen to be that clever blogger, please let me know--I'd be delighted to link you to this post...

Here's what I came up with...

What do you think?  Can you tell I like working with vinyl?  This is what I started with...

I used dark blue vinyl and a font called "Mellow."  Oh, and Rocco of course. As I was photographing this, one of my kiddos asked if we actually going to use the soap.  I answered that I hoped so!

I've had this jar for a while, so I'm thrilled to consider this a stash busting project as well.  In fact...I have one more jar...somewhere...hmmmm.

  1. Very pretty and functional. Do you have any suggestions for the plastic Folgers coffee cans? I have green and red ones and can't seem to throw them away!

  2. Cute Christine!! I love those wide mouth jars. What a sweet idea.
Thanks so much for linking up to Think Pink Sundays! ;)

  3. Simple and fabulous...I'm in love.

  4. So cute! I recently decked out some jars of my own! check them out at

  5. I like this soap jar idea! Do you keep it in a closet or out in the bathroom where it can be seen?

I won't deny it, I love comments! Thanks...
