Tag--no, not the game

On one of my many trips to Joann's, I picked up some fairly large tags to play around with.  Since I always like to participate in Brag Monday over at The Graphics Fairy,  I thought a new mixed media tag would be in order.

Her images are so wonderful, it's a joy to create with them.  This old invoice seems to have been made just for this tag.

First thing I needed the change was the color of the tag.  Sorry manila--you just weren't cutting it.  I was going to paint, but decided to color it with marker instead.  Got to love zero drying time!

Time to add some fun stuff!  Washi tape was my first addition to this tag. I know--shocking. I am having way too much fun with my new tape collection.  There are just so many applications for it--it has truly become one of my favorite things to play with when I'm crafting.  But I'm not obsessed or anything...

Along with the tape, I added self adhesive pearls in ivory and brown.  A clear fragment made its way over to the little stamp in the lower right-hand corner. Red seed beads went into the corners of the red stamp in the middle.

The star in the lower left-hand side is an embellishment I made from a wooden shape that was covered in...Washi tape (gasp).  I sealed it with Dimensional Magic.  It was made a couple of weeks ago, but I think it was waiting for the right artwork to call home.

I'm always happy when I can choose a piece of fun fiber to finish a project.  The brown couldn't be more perfect here.

On a completely different note, I feel lately like I've been "scattered" as far as my blog goes.  I am feeling the need to perhaps make a schedule--get more focused.  What does this mean?  Oh, I have no solid ideas--yet, but I thought I would share what I was thinking.  Aren't you glad you got a glimpse into what passes for this mind of mine? Hee hee...
