Tonight...we ride

Hee hee. Karen from The Graphics Fairy posted this image of bicycles today, and I borrowed the phrase from a movie from the eighties--ahem. 

With little peeks into the spring weather, my kiddos have been all about riding their bikes.   I thought the phrase was classic.

I painted a canvas with a dark brown acrylic paint I mixed up.  While it was drying, I printed the image on a sheet of vellum paper.  While it was wet, I covered it with a gray metallic embossing powder and heat set it.

I used some vellum tape to put it on the canvas, painted and outlined a chipboard letter T.  I stamped the rest of the phrase with StazOn ink in black. 

I like how the light catches the image here... This piece is going into Prince Two's room.  He says he loves it and I'm the best blogger ever--what a kid!  My work here is done--ha ha!**

  1. Love the title! But for the life of me cannot place the movie! Now it's bugging me :-) Cute plaque..I love all the techniques you used. And how sweet of your son...I think you are pretty awesome too, so do I get a plaque? haha! ;-)
