Tricked Out Dinosaur Pin

I'm pretty excited about Monday, because it's dinosaur week at school!  We go all out there...we have dinosaur stamps for the art table, and we do dinosaur projects.  I even bring in my little dinosaur bones to put in the sand table for our little paleontologists!

Inspiration struck, and all of the sudden I was making dinosaur pins for the teachers.  Here is one...

Frightening, right?  Not so much, he's kind of good looking actually.  Here's how I brought him back from extinction (hee hee).

I started with these Cuttlebug die cuts.  I used various shades of green card stock, and cut my shapes.  The card stock itself wasn't sturdy enought to support a pin back, so I backed it with a sheet of acetate cut with the same die cut.

I glued them together with fast dry tacky glue.  After they dried, they got some personality with Distress Stickles (Pine Needles, Peeled Paint, and Frayed Burlap).

These two were drying.  Aren't the googly eyes small? They are the 3mm size and I added them to the wet Stickles.  When that dried, I covered them with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.  Pin backs are added with E6000 when they are completely dry.

Here's my first ferocious friend again...

I'm thinking both the teachers and kids will like them...roar!
* Update...Here they are all together!
