Global warming baby!

Hi friends! Global warming, indeed.  It's been snowing here since yesterday--so much for that.

I have a new pendant to share with you.  This one was quick (and fun), from inspiration to conclusion.  I think it's also one of my new favorites.

I found this globe from The Graphics Fairy.   I printed it out very small--contact sheet size, onto white card stock.  I pressed over the image with my clear embossing glue pad, and covered it with clear embossing powder.  After heat setting it, I trimmed it to fit a rectangle Stampbord, which measures one by two inches.

I used Mod Podge to decoupage it, and then sealed it as well. After it dried, I took my black StazOn ink pad to color around the outer edges. I grabbed my new favorite product to use...Rub 'n Buff in silver leaf, and rubbed some over the back and sides of the pendant.  It's a wax metallic finish, and a little goes a long way.  It's quite amazing actually.

My other favorite (oh there are so many!), Mod Podge Dimensional Magic was used to cover the entire top of the piece.  The back...

Happiness!

It just goes to show how fantastic the images are at Karen's blog. They are inspiring all on their own!

Maybe it's warmer at these places!
