Just my type

Happy Sunday to you!  Is it balmy where you are?  It's freezing here, so I'm hanging out with my toasty computer writing this post.

Last week, I brought you some editing fun with Picasa.  I told you I would share what became of my altered image.

I received a generous package of Melody Ross papers and other goodies when I had just started my blog--from a  Mod Podge Rocks! giveaway.   I love and use the stuff all of the time, and I still have so much of it left.  (Thanks Amy!)  I used one of my favorite papers for the cover of my book.

I used glue dots to adhere the paper to the book, after I rounded the corners.  I glued on my personalized image from The Graphics Fairy, and then went shopping for embellishments...at my craft table.

The letters on the red background were cut from a great piece of scrapbook paper, and tucked under the typewriter.  I ended up loving the red accent with the black, and added red hearts.  The red cotton ribbon was a recycled handle from a holiday gift bag--and you know how much I love that.  I pulled out some Tim Holtz fragments and used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to glue them down.

Just one more shot.

Thanks for coming by... and greetings to my new friends...I'm so glad you're here.

  5. What a beautiful transformation! I love how you gave the new composition book a completely vintage look, and the way you personalized the graphics. I am so honored that you've continued to be a part of "A Little Birdie Told Me...". I always look forward to your projects! Jenn
