All you need is love...

...and Mod Podge... and chocolate!  Can you believe Friday is almost here?  Just one other question for the holidays seem to come faster than usual in blogland?  Sometimes it feels that way to me, how about you?

So Valentine's Day is next, and I have my first project to share with you.  I've made perpetual calendar blocks in the past, and have been dying to make another set with a holiday theme.  Christmas got by me too quickly (better luck next year!), but I love the papers out for this holiday, so I made a set for February 14.

First I lightly sanded these two inch wood blocks.  Then I painted them with two coats of white acrylic paint.  While it was drying, I punched squares out of paper that had various hearts on it.

I used Mod Podge to glue the squares down into the middle of each side.  While that was drying, I used my Cuttlebug to cut out numbers for each block.  I used Mod Podge again to stick my numbers to the middle of the hearts.  Want to see them?

While I am a huge fan of distressing painted projects, I left this one alone.  I'm glad I did, because I love how clean and crisp the white paint looks with the sweet pink paper.

I don't have too much in the way of Valentine Day decorations, so I am thrilled to add this to my small collection.

PS  I would love it if you would "like" me on Facebook! Come on over, we'll have fun!

I love these places!
