Simple Winter Solstice

Many of you know how happy it makes me to recycle something.  To upcycle something that would normally go in a container at the end of my driveway...that just makes me feel great.

Back a few months ago, I did a project with these fabulous and curvy bottles, tissue paper, and Mod Podge.  My friend got a few more for me (thanks!).  I knew at least one of them would be decorated  for this season.

This was very simple to accomplish.  I folded white tissue paper and punched it out with a small square punch.  I did the same thing with  a small amount of silver tissue .  I brushed on Mod Podge in sections and applied the tissue squares. Time consuming?  A smidge...but I think it's totally worth it.  Doesn't it resemble  mosaic tile?

Here is one more picture to show the detail...

Stay tuned for an upcoming post about the stuff I'm putting in this wonderful bottle!
