Smallest. Wreath. Ever.

Thanksgiving is almost upon us, can you believe it?  I have been saying all season that I need a fall wreath for my front door.  There are so many inspirational ideas on the blogs, but I just haven't made one.  I'm thinking it might be time to move on...

So I did move on, and I made a wreath for our next holiday.

Can you guess what it started out as?  {Cue Jeopardy theme music}

It began as a washer.  I love washer jewelry ideas, don't you? Its shape is very wreath-like.  I used a green Slick writer marker to paint the washer, which dried quickly. In the meantime, I went through my seed bead stash for various sizes and shades of green.  I applied Art Gel in sections, and then seed beads.

When it was covered, I took red seed beads and turned them on their sides for more color before I stuck them on.  I used my E6000 to adhere a pin back, and it's done.

Think this would be pretty on a jacket lapel?  I have a bigger washer that would be terrific on a bag...

So many places to go!
