You say it's your birthday

My Internet was out yesterday for what seemed like an eternity. I was not very happy about it.  Maybe I have a problem?...  It left me wondering

1.  Is there a support group I can join?
2.  Do I really want to join such a group?

Anyway, I am very glad to be back, and thought I would show you a picture of a birthday card that I am fond of making.  I found the original in the book Quick & Clever Instant Cards by Julie Hickey.  It's a terrific book-lots of inspiration there.

I love this card because it can be made masculine enough for the dudes in your life. I used tube beads for the candles, and Diamond glaze to adhere them to the card.  I also used a small star punch for the shiny stars.  It's a simple card to make, and the beads add a cool dimension.  Hope that you like it!

I'm going to share this at these awesome places...

  1. "1. Is there a support group I can join?"

    Probably, but I'd bet it's online. ;-)

  2. I probably need that group too! Love the card!

  3. What a fun card! I would never have thought of using the beads, thanks for the inspiration! One day without the internet? Imagine me with 2 weeks and no connection! I think before our next big camping trip, I need to get a laptop, for sure! :)

  4. Can I sit by you in the support group? Ours went AWOL the other night and I was going through blog withdrawal. This is such a great card. And I always struggle with "guy" cards so this is perfect!

  5. I love your card; it is simple, but fun. La

  6. Very cute card and great that it can work for "dudes". It's hard sometimes to make guy cards.

  7. There might be a support group but I bet it's online:)

  8. Thanks for sharing with us at A Crafty Soiree! Great card and I love that it can be used for men too. That is always my issue, finding something suitable for the guys in my life too. Please join us next time too!

I won't deny it, I love comments! Thanks...
