I feel a bit woozy

Hopefully, it will pass soon.  We went school shopping for supplies today at two different stores, and I'm fairly positive I am not finished yet.  It's another great reason for doing the Stashbusting September challenge over at The T-Shirt Diaries.

Speaking of which, it's a good thing Dolly was with me today!  There we are, standing in front of composition notebooks of all colors and sizes.  I spot the tiny ones that I love to decorate.

Without even thinking, I scoop up three of them and put them in my basket.  Dolly tells me, "you can't buy those," and I laugh out loud in the middle of the aisle.  I removed them from the basket and put them back on the shelf, and we continued on with our shopping.

I'm very glad that Dolly was there to remind me and keep me accountable. (Thanks Dolly!) But I need to get a grip...it's only September 2, and I already forgot about the challenge!  I could chalk it up to being busy and therefore distracted, but what do I do? Staple a note to my forehead so the sharp pain will help me remember?

Does anyone out there have any suggestions? If you are participating in this challenge, what is helping to keep you out of trouble?

  1. Hi Christine,
Too funny! I half thought about participating in the challenge, but then I thought to myself: "Ok, it's all right to buy_____ if I really need it." Or "If I see some really neat crafting thing at a garage sale, TheN it's ok to buy it!" So I figured I better quit while I'm ahead!! The only thing i can think to advise you is to stay out of the stores!! :)

  7. I think I have a ton of those leftover from a previous project. I could look for them and send you a couple. You wouldn't be spending any money so it wouldn't count as cheating would it?
