Can she do it?

My kids can't wait to see if I can. My husband will probably ask me if I'm feeling all right. What in the world am I talking about?  I am talking about Christine & Co. being a "Stashbusting in September Blog."  It's quite the challenge, I really must say (does anyone remember Ed Grimley besides me?).

Robin over at The T-Shirt Diaries, came up with this great idea. It includes using your existing crafting stash. That means no little excursions to some of my favorite places.  For the whole month. I like to think of myself as a use-what-you-have kind of crafter. But I do love my trips to Joann's or Michael's or Hobby Lobby or that cute little local place that has all the unusual cool stuff... Where was I?

I think it will be great to focus on things that I already have. If you click on that cool button on my right sidebar, it will take you to Robin's blog, where thirty or so other bloggers are making this commitment.

I'm feeling strong friends! I think this will be an excellent experience...could you do it?

  1. How difficult! This is the time of year when those stores gear up for those doing craft shows and folks who start crafting for Christmas early. I do agree tyhat it will be an excellent experience. Besides, when you're done, the stores will probably still be there. Good luck with the project!

  2. Hi Christine,
Ok, you have a few more hours to make a mad dash to Hobby Lobby of Michael's or Jo Ann's (or all 3, better yet!) to stock up on supplies! What a challenge! I am having withdraw symptoms just thinking about it :) But it really would be a great way to use up current craft stash! BTW, thanks so much for the anniversary greetings!!

  3. You can do it! From the looks of your "war room" ( great name ) you probably have a lot of good finds. Keep your hands in your pockets if you do go, though !

  4. We can! We can! We can!!!!!!!!!! Can't we?! I'll never be able to live with my husband and son if I can't do it now that I've told them I signed up for this. I'm with you on JoAnn's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby seeing a spike in sale first week in October. But, in for a penny...out of craft stores for a month!

  6. I saw that you linked up to participate and ALMOST did myself. I don't know why I can't commit to no new shopping for a month - goodness knows I have WAY TOO MUCH stuff already! My husband would LOVE for me to though. Still on the fence - what pushed you to commit to it? Maybe it will inspire me!

  7. You're a brave girl.... There's NO way I could do that. What if I needed spray adhesive {which I do} or some more fall color scrapbook paper {which I need} or something?
LOL - Just kidding... sort of...
Good luck and have fun!! I think it's an awesome way to stretch your creative muscles.

  10. Stopping in from #LINKLOVE and I love this idea! I am already doing a blogging challenge this month, but I think that this will be good for me! I just got a box of fabric delivered to me last night, and I have tons of yarn, and other materials that I really need to get working on! So...I am joining in!
